Our Journey

AK Bikes began with a passion that couldn't be confined. I'm Adam, the founder, and my love for bikes has been a lifelong affair. As an ex-competitive mountain biker, I lived and breathed the thrill of racing. But beyond racing, I found joy in the mechanics of biking—particularly in perfecting tubeless setups for friends and family.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, cycling surged in popularity. Seizing this opportunity, I transformed my tiny apartment in Sharjah into a small workshop in mid-2021, marking the birth of Adam's Bike Shop. From humble beginnings, I would drive to customers, servicing their bikes at their doorstep. We also delved into the niche market of second-hand refurbished bikes, which soon became our standout specialty.

Growth and Expansion

The business quickly outgrew my apartment. By the end of 2021, we moved operations to a small space at my dad's villa in Dubai. This strategic move placed us closer to our primary customer base and facilitated our expansion. We began hiring skilled mechanics, social media experts, and sales personnel to meet the growing demand.

In September 2023, we achieved a significant milestone by launching our flagship store in Dubai. This 1,500-square-foot, two-floored space in Umm Ramool is now the heart of AK Bikes. Here, we stock over 40+ pre-loved bikes, including kids', hybrid, road, city, gravel, fat, and mountain bikes. We also partner with major bike shops in the region, to offer branded parts, accessories, and professional bike care products.
